hey, MTV waste of space viewer, now IS the time to do what celebs do…..

…..other than make bad decisions regarding accessories and sperm donors. back in the 2004 election, pop star christina aguilera was published like this

for a little website. For someone as popular as she was to try to stir interest in something so “uncool” as politics, was really quite remarkable. The other big celebrity to popularize caring about the future leader of our nation was this guy with the perpetual identity crisis….

vote or die!!!

he really means it.

now jessica alba has decided to inspire those of voting age to care about their future through the same website movement that aguilera took part in, which enabled users to register to vote, find information about candidates, buy merchandise aimed at promoting awareness, and in general, give the young generation a wake up call. alba’s photos will appear in magazines sometime this fall.

in the mean time, heidi montag (of the hills!!!! check local listings) is doing her best to campaign for john mccain, which really is a smart move for her. you have to think about the future, and when she hits that $5 million mark that will qualify her and whatshisname as rich, she wants to make sure she’s not being taxed too much. it’s all about asset protection and fuck those middle class with no health insurance, ignored war vets, poor education system, and our planet going to shit.

sigh. Please, register to vote.

  1. you know, I think Xtina might be the most boring pop star of all time.

I’m kind of ambivalent on voting this year. It’s not like Cali is even in play for the Pres. election. Of course, there’s always the state and local issues. But then I remember that the Golden State is a black hole of political hacks, and an electorate so stupid they elected Arnold twice. You wanna know why he won, though? cause Cruz fucking Bustamante was running against him. This state’s a joke.

Fuck it, I’m up on my soap box here, the Referendum system is the Doing It Wrong. Terrible Terrible way to legislate. Good laws don’t come out of that bullshit; just vote no on everything. How are we the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world and yet be run by these dipshits?

  2. Vote or die, motherfuckers. Vote or die!

There’s always that super weird blah blonde celeb that goes Republican in election seasons, like Jessica Simpson doing her heartland thing by supporting Bush in 2004.

Hey, Chris Daughtry wants to get first time voters out there!

And why is “Jewelry!” an (automatically generated) related post here?

  3. seriously, no mention of jewelry in this post at all. i forgot about that, jessica simpson was all about bush (heheh) in 2004. hmm. you can take the girl out of the country, but i guess you can’t take the dumb ****ing stupidity out of the girl.

  4. If I remember correctly, a few of the celebs from that vote or die campaign didn’t bother voting the last election. it’s just a fashionable thing to pretend to care.

I called the last two elections correctly. I’m going for the 3-peat with my prediction that Mccain is going to win. People get the leaders they deserve.

Save those Shepard Fairey Obama t-shirts; They’ll end up being collectables.

  5. The rest of America doesn’t vote like California. Your average voter from the midwest or south is not going to vote for a black guy. They’d rather vote for some inarticulate good ol’ boy who they can relate to. The election is a farce which is why, come election time, I’m writing in Kermit the Frog as my canidate of choice.

  6. Erotikus is half right about race, but also because when it comes down to black and white terms (of logic, not race) you can paint McCain as things Americans are told are wonderful, like being an experienced politician and war hero and a man of “faith.” That’s why bullshit like Obama’s “celebrity status” are so effective. That, and Obama’s campaign strategists, especially Axelrod, are doing a horrible fucking job.

  7. yeah, erotikus, it’s true that most voters are white males and so want to have some one in power that they can identify with and even in some ways, look up to. and mccain has that covered with his P.O.W. status he waves around like a flag. and now today, mccain has a five point lead over obama. this country is in serious trouble.
