I semi agree with you. The writers do seem to have many problems with character development and their solution involves one of those events where something unbelievable happens, only for it to be undone in another episode. They can't ever stick with what happens. It's never permanent, which makes things confusing.

I really thought it would be canceled before. The last 6 episodes are so took me a while to watch because it was just juvenile. I'd watch lost, but I have no idea what's going on.

It's really a simple equation, Bravo. The guy who created Heroes is not a good writer. He's a hack who previously worked on Crossing Jordan. When you do a sci-fi show like this where people have plot-changing abilities, you need a writer who A) has a plan, and B) knows how to write in the fantastical powers genre so that he won't be constantly writing himself into corners -- which is what Heroes has been doing from about the fourth episode onward. Thus, characters constantly get amnesia, or lose their powers, or something happens to them that they should be able to prevent.

It's sloppy writing from producers who are out of their league. Of course, the characters all also terrible cardboard cutouts, so I'm not really sure what keeps you coming back for more. Go read Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men or something if you need a superhero fix.

Heroes will probably be canceled before the end of next season. It's expensive to produce and it's been tanking in the ratings for two years straight. Not surprising, since the foundation they built the show on was so weak.
