It was definitely playing in my rotation the most. I would call it the Version 2.0 of the 00 decade.

There are actually a few pretty good tracks on Ursa Major. I think 3rd Eye Blind misses Kevin Cadogan and they don’t want to admit it.

The new Muse album started off great and then veered sharply into Jazz Odyssey territory, not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.

I listened to the new BTE and U2 albums once each and was not inspired to try them out again, which is actually really depressing.

I kept thinking the Phoenix album came out last year, but I guess not. Good album, much like their last. I wonder if Sofia Coppola sees people digging their new stuff and thinks about how she was there first back when they were unknown and indie. Can you get annoyed about a band selling out when you used your fame to meet said band, fuck the lead singer and then marry him?

Death Cab’s The Open Door EP was excellent. Probably the most untouchable album of the year.

Haven’t got around to downloading Casablancas or the new Raveonettes yet.
